PMC RETURNS TO ETHIOPIA TO ADDRESS FAMILY PLANNING, GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE, AND MORE

Ethiopia was the first country in which Population Media Center (PMC) broadcast long-running radio shows for social change, beginning in 2002. Now, Nekakat (“Cracked”) is live in multiple regions of Ethiopia: Amhara; Tigray; Oromia; and Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Region (SNNP).

“The launch of Nekakat is an important milestone for the PMC-Ethiopia team and the country,” says PMC Program Manager Wendi Stein.

WHAT BURUNDIANS ARE SAYING
ABOUT AGASHI 3

PMC-Burundi has entertained millions of Burundians with the beloved Agashi (“Hey! Look Again!”) radio series, which started in 2014 and has been followed by two sequel programs since. The success of Agashi is undeniable – not only in terms of loyal listeners, but also in terms of impact.

While it is too soon to report on the impact Agashi 3 has had on audiences, PMC has started to receive feedback from listeners on their reactions and takeaways.
