COVID-19 doesn't care about your location or your socio-economic status, but your location and socio-economic status play important roles in how this pandemic may impact you. At Population Media Center (PMC), we know about vulnerable populations because those are the audiences we reach. We've positively impacted the lives of more than half a billion people in more than 50 countries.
Many issues PMC focuses on will be compounded during and after COVID-19, such as WASH programs, child marriage, and domestic violence, to name a few. And all of our shows, regardless of the focus issues, reach people day in and day out that need accurate information about COVID-19 now and as the situation evolves.
PMC has been collaborating with local health ministries and other trusted information sources like the World Health Organization and UNICEF, to create new content with prevention messaging in local languages. Field offices have rapidly created a variety of content-types to dispel myths and misinformation about COVID-19.
